The ACLU of Michigan, Michigan United and other members of the Fair Chance Coalition are sponsoring a business symopsium aimed at promoting and explaining the "fair chance" efforts taking place in Detroit and other cities around the country. "Fair Chance" is an effort designed to encourage businesses to give fair hiring consideration to returning citizens who apply for jobs. By agreeing to consider applicants who've been previously incarcerated, businesses create the opportunities vital to ensuring that returning citizens can be productive members of our communities.
