Ewurama Appiagyei-Dankah is the West Michigan Legal Fellow at the ACLU of Michigan. She joined the ACLU of Michigan in September of 2024 and is thrilled to be back in West Michigan, which is where she grew up.
She earned her undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University and her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School. Prior to law school, she worked in the United States Senate, the Michigan Senate, and the Michigan Division of Victim Services. During law school, she served as a law clerk in the Executive Office of the Governor of Michigan, as a legal intern at the ACLU of Michigan, and as a student attorney in University of Michigan Law School’s Civil Rights Litigation Initiative.
Outside of work, Ewurama serves on the board of the James Madison College Alumni Association and volunteers with the nonprofit Running Start, which trains young women to run for office. She loves to run, sing, play instruments, and cook.
