Please join us as we march behind the ACLU banner in the Ann Arbor 4th of July Parade! It's a fun way to celebrate our Bill of Rights and resist the current attack on civil liberties.
We will promote the issues we fight for every day: Reproductive Rights, Immigrants' Rights, Voting Rights, Racial Justice, LGBTQ Rights and Free Speech.
We'll bring the banner, a convertible (featuring Lady Liberty), a sound system to play Jimmy Hendrix's “Star Spangled Banner,” Bob Marley’s “Get Up, Stand Up,” and a civil rights marching song, ACLU literature, and, of course, candy.
We will all meet at 9:30am near the corner of South State Street and William Street (The ACLU’s spot is #20 and on the West Side of State Street). We will be done by 11:30 am.
Come join us with your friends and family and have some fun!
