We are proud to report that our own Mark P. Fancher will be inducted into the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame-Class of 2024!

Michigan Lawyers Weekly is an independent newspaper dedicated to providing legal news throughout the state. Each year, the editorial board selects 20 esteemed lawyers from a broad range of practice areas to be added to the Hall of Fame.

Dan Korobkin had this to say about the award:

“The ACLU of Michigan could not be more proud that Mark P. Fancher, longtime staff attorney for our Racial Justice Project, is being inducted into the Michigan Lawyers Weekly Hall of Fame. Mark’s integrity, stellar career, and steadfast commitment to racial justice for all serve as a beacon and model for our profession and beyond.”

Mr. Fancher had this to say about his upcoming induction into the Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly Hall of Fame:

“Naturally, I’m highly honored, and the recognition is quite gratifying. But I’m also old enough and wise enough to know that whatever good things come out of me are due to God’s blessings, grace and inspiration and the support of others – most notably my loving family, my ACLU colleagues, and those comrades of the National Conference of Black Lawyers and other revolutionaries who have always worked shoulder to shoulder with me in struggles for those who are most oppressed.”
